HADESTOWN - Teen Edition
The Halifax Playhouse, West Yorkshire, HX1 2SH
Wednesday 28th October 2026 - Saturday 31st October 2026
HADESTOWN is a popular new musical which tracks two intertwining and possibly familiar love stories - that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone. This is an intriguing and beautiful folk opera which delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience, carrying audiences on a hellraising journey to the underworld and back.
Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, this beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
From HATY, the young company who have recently brought you Anastasia, Everybody's Talking About Jamie and Les Miserables, this is sure to be another must-see performance.
