A brand-new musical from HAOS
It’s Friday night in 1999 and the Wellypulco Club is heaving. There’s sticky floors and Bacardi Breezers, a DJ who swears he’s big in Ibiza and a bouncer who takes no messing with way too much gel in his hair. Wafts of Lynx Africa from the a stag do going badly wrong, wafts of Impulse from the two sisters on the brink of pop stardom, and a toilet attendant with a scent for everything.
But the lights are flickering, the till is running dry and the owner is keeping a big secret. When the power cuts out and the takings vanish, everyone’s a suspect. Will the Wellypulco make it to closing time?
Packed with the anthems of the decade, from the Spice Girls, Oasis and Robbie Williams to Take That, Alanis Morissette and Celine Dion, this is a feel-good, laugh-out-loud night out for anyone who remembers the 90s, or wishes they did.
And here’s the twist: our brave cast got their scripts just a week ago and only started rehearsing at the day before the show at 7pm. Everything you see has been put together in 24 hours!
