Resist Rent Rises - 'Train the Trainer' Workshop ONLINE

GMTU are launching a campaign - RESIST RENT RISES - in partnership with GM Law Centre and London Renters Union as well as other tenants' unions across the country, to help tenants challenge landlords hiking up their rents, and take back power.

We want to support renters in challenging their rent rises using the newly renovated rent tribunal system, which has seen some big changes under the Renters Rights Act that came into force on May 1st.

Ahead of our local Campaign Launch Event happening in Levenshulme on May 20th, we will be hosting a 'Train the Trainer' online workshop in order to upskill organisers to support tenants in their communities to challenge their rent rise. Please register for the event and we will send a zoom link beforehand, please keep an eye on your spam/junk folder the day before!

What you will learn:
- Changes to renters rights in 2026
- Get to know section 13 notices
- What the heck are tribunals?
- Why everyone benefits when we challenge our rent increase

See you there!!
