Thrown In Sessions #5: Brownbear & Midnight Painters
The Deep End, Glasgow, G41 2PZ
Sunday 30th August 2026
Join us for Glad Radio's monthly acoustic session, on the last Sunday afternoon of the month.
From 3:30pm to 6:00pm on Sunday 28th June, we'll have sets by Brownbear and Midnight Painters.
Brownbear is Matt Hickman, sometimes with a band but on this occasion performing his compelling, heartfelt songs solo. A man of great principle and talent, you're more likely to find him gracing the stage at the Barrowlands or Saint Luke's, so grab this opportunity to see him close-up.
Midnight Painters are a new duo formed by the musicians Aoibhinn Sweeney and Anthony Madden, who are getting recognition for their unique songwriting and their evocative, harmonious performances.
This is a family-friendly afternoon show. We're not licensed to sell alcoholic drinks, but soft drinks and snacks will be on sale.
The Deep End is an arts space and social enterprise developed by Govanhill Baths Community Trust, where Glad Radio, a community podcasting charity, has its studio.
