Totem Doll Making Workshop

Join local and international artist and doll maker Anna Vigurs for a creative Totem Doll making workshop in the beautiful and historic setting of Monmouth Priory.

These simple, handmade Totem Dolls become personal story keepers, holding your stories, memories and wishes. You’ll create a unique doll using fabric, needle and thread, your imagination, and small meaningful objects.

You’re invited to bring along small objects, written words, or items from the natural world that you’d like to place inside your doll. These personal treasures will help give your creation its own story and character.

No previous experience is needed. Expect a warm welcome, creative support and a jolly atmosphere — making dolls is fun!
Your finished doll will be more than a keepsake from the day. It can become a story keeper to treasure and, perhaps, pass on through generations.

In recent years, Anna has worked with communities across Wales, creating character dolls and exploring mythic, future folklore tales. Her work is exhibited in the UK and internationally.

Come along, get creative, and make a doll with a story of its own.

Held at the The Priory, Monmouth as part of the Monmouth Festival of Stories.  The Building is fully accessible.
