A five day youth art camp with artist and former art teacher Pat Gulliver, introducing the creative process of batik.
Inspired by the shapes, textures and patterns found in fruits, plants and shells, participants will explore natural forms up close while learning each stage of batik design. Across the week, the group will develop their own artwork from first ideas through to finished pieces, experimenting with wax resist and dye techniques to create layered designs on fabric.

- Step by step guidance from tutor Pat Gulliver
- Learning the full batik process, from design preparation to finished artwork

- Time to experiment, develop techniques and create a finished piece to take home
- All materials provided
- Participants should wear clothes suitable for art making that can get messy
- No previous batik experience is needed.
