Resources for Democracy - Workshop
Kirkgate Community Centre, Shipley, BD18 3EH
Saturday 26th September 2026
For many years Bradford Resource Centre was the go to place for ‘resources for democracy’, providing access to meeting space, computing, printing, photocopying, badge making, research, training and advice.
We believe that ‘resources for democracy’ are still needed, perhaps now more than ever. Join us to explore the need, and how it could be met, at a free workshop between 2 and 5 on Saturday 26 September at the Kirkgate Community Centre, 39A Kirkgate, Shipley BD18 3EH.
The People's Property Portfolio (PPP) have now taken over the Chapel Street building with a view to re-opening it as an arts and community centre. The 1in 12 Club in Bradford are another resource as the have meeting room space and a library. PPP and the 1 in 12 Club are working with us to plan the workshop and to explore how they can help provide 'resources of democracy' in the future.
The workshops will be followed by an evening social, with music by Melosa Jazz, food and a bar. Full details at www.fobrc.co.uk
