FORUM Books Presents Dave Haslam

FORUM Books are delighted to welcome to the pulpit, DAVE HASLAM.

What do Neneh Cherry, Pete Shelley, Maxine Peake, Bernard Sumner, Raymond Carver, Paddy Considine, Jarvis Cocker, Jonathan Franzen, Viv Albertine and Terry Hall have in common? They’re all in Dave’s new book, Creative Journeys. The subtitle tells you what’s in the tin - “Intimate conversations with artists, actors, writers and musicians”. Fascinating creative journeys, yes, but mesmerising human stories too: artists dealing with dysfunctional families, and poverty, and fame, and success. There’s emotion, politics, addiction. Finding solace in books, solace in music. Viv Albertine discusses ‘Typical Girls’; Paddy Considine recalls key scenes in Dead Man’s Shoes; and Jarvis Cocker goes deep into ‘This is Hardcore’.

Come and hear Dave talk about talking to them …

All tickets include a welcome drink.
