For One Night Only - Hitchin : Friday 6th November 2026
The Market Theatre, hertfordshire, SG5 1AE
Friday 6th November 2026
WE’RE ’AVIN NUN OF IT!
FONO is back on Friday 6 November, and you already know the deal.
A cracking little room, ridiculously good-value tickets and a line-up mixing some of the best rising comics we can find with acts who already know exactly what they’re doing.
This month we welcome SOPHIE SCONCIA with a taste of her award-winning show Mother Superior.
Sophie disappoints her religious mother every day and twice on Sundays. Mother Superior takes on battling mothers, motherhood, influencer kids and other demons.
She’s a master at making you feel like you’re part of a gang. The type you’d find hanging around behind the bike sheds. The West End New Act of the Year judges praised the way she charms an audience before hitting them with a killer punchline, while Andrew O’Neill called her “confident, quietly subversive and funny as f*ck.”
And, as ever, we’ve packed the rest of the bill:
MABEL READ A quirky rising comic making waves on the circuit, with performing credits stretching back to Horrible Histories.
KURUN SUNDIAL An emerging comic appearing on bills across London and beyond.
ARIE DAVIDSharp writing, deadpan delivery and darkly playful comedy. A Beat the Blackout winner at Up the Creek and New Comedian of the Year nominee.
DEAN HARMER Rapid-fire one-liners, sharp wordplay and things you probably shouldn’t repeat to your children.
And keeping the whole thing vaguely under control is MC GARY G KNIGHTLEY, a FONO favourite with bags of stage presence, quick crowd work and absolutely no guarantee of good behaviour.
Please add '[email protected]' to your safe-senders list. Just in case we need to get in touch with you - we don't want to be flushed into spam! And we never, ever share data!
Please be aware that FONO may be a filmed event and we have a photographer on-site. (primarily for the acts review and promo usage). Attendance is consent to being filmed.
