The Gifts of Christmas – a concert for choir and brass

Join us for this first concert in our 35th anniversary season. We will be performing a special selection of music for choir, brass ensemble and organ, taking the seasonal theme of the Gifts of Christmas. Expect the atmospheric space of Waltham Abbey to be filled with sound as we perform the rich Renaissance music of Gabrieli, Bruckner’s dramatic motet Ecce Sacerdos and two sets of carol arrangements by Roderick Elms and David Wallace. These will be interspersed with more tranquil moments of unaccompanied music by Tomás Luis de Victoria and Thomas Tallis, and seasonal items by contemporary composers.
