Live Soundtracks to Silent Films + Q&A
FACT Liverpool, Liverpool, L1 4DQ
Tuesday 8th September 2026 7:30PM
Moolakii Club Audio Interface presents...
Live Soundtracks to Silent Films brings together experimental electronica musicians and moving-image works from across the early history of cinema, creating new connections between sound and screen through one-off live performances.
Moving between strange narratives, fragmented images and moments of visual abstraction, the screening invites audiences to encounter these films afresh through contemporary electronic sound.
Jez Thelwell performs newly composed soundtracks for Frankenstein and Nude Woman by Waterfall, while La French responds live to L’Étoile de mer and Disturbances. The Metamorph completes the programme with an original score accompanying Entr’acte. Join us after the performances for a Q+A with the artists.
