Exile

Exile is a DJ night based firmly in old-school goth and post-punk music, with a sprinkling of newer music in a similar vein. We won't shy away from playing the classics - hey, they became classics for a reason - but there is so much more to these genres than the usual "goth top 40", so we'll also be playing plenty of great stuff that might not be quite so well-known!

Our venue is a unique and very atmospheric cellar space beneath Edinburgh's Geogian New Town. This is a lovely self-contained space (or rather, set of interconnected spaces!) with bar, plenty of seating and a dedicated space for dancing.

We ask that you dress darkly. This can be as simple as black jeans and black t-shirt, or as fancy as you like. It's not about elitism, it's there to make other attendees feel more comfortable, and to help our door staff distinguish between people who are coming to our club for the music, and passers-by who are simply looking for somewhere to have a late drink ;-)
