Exile is a DJ night based firmly in old-school goth and post-punk music, with a sprinkling of newer music in a similar vein. We won't shy away from playing the classics - hey, they became classics for a reason - but there is so much more to these genres than the usual "goth top 40", so we'll also be playing plenty of great stuff that might not be quite so well-known!
Our venue is The Cellar Bar beneath The Argyle in Marchmont. For those who don't know it, this is a lovely self-contained space with its own bar and toilets, comfy seating and space to dance.
PLEASE NOTE: ticket-holders are asked to arrive by 9pm. After this time, if we're very busy we might assume you're not coming, and give your space to someone paying on the door!
We also ask that you dress darkly. This can be as simple as black jeans and black t-shirt, or as fancy as you like. It's not about elitism, it's there to make other attendees feel more comfortable, and to help our door staff distinguish between people who are coming to our club for the music, and passers-by who are simply looking for a late(ish) pint ;-)
