Barry Steele's Roy Orbison Story
The Edge Arts Centre, Much Wenlock, TF13 6NB
Thursday 29th April 2027 7:30PM
MUCH WENLOCK — BARRY STEELE THE REAL DEAL IS COMING HOME!
CELEBRATING ROY ORBISON
THE PLATINUM YEARS
There’s something rather special about this one.
Barry Steele - The Real Deal is coming to The Edge, Much Wenlock - and for promoter Lynne Steele, this is a particularly personal date.
Lynne was born in Much Wenlock and has now returned to live in the town, so bringing the show to The Edge feels like a real homecoming.
But this is no small local production.
Celebrating 25 years in the business, Barry Steele has taken his acclaimed Roy Orbison Story from the West End to audiences across the UK and around the world.
Backed by a superb live band, Barry celebrates the music of Roy Orbison and The Traveling Wilburys - including Only The Lonely, Crying, In Dreams, Pretty Woman, You Got It, Wicked Game and Blue Hotel.
And the reviews?
“True Identikit Brilliance.” — The Stage
“His vocals are quite simply incredible.” — North West End
“It’s as near the real thing as you can get.” — Audience review
“If you closed your eyes and listened to him singing, you would be hard pressed to distinguish between the real Roy Orbison and Barry Steele.” — Audience review
From the West End to Much Wenlock.
From worldwide stages to a venue right here at home.
Naturally Roy. Unmistakably Barry.
