A Carolus Christmas
Wavendon Community Centre, Milton Keynes, MK17 8LH
Friday 27th November 2026 6:30PM
Enjoy a contemporary take on this classic play, with a glass of mulled wine (alcoholic or non) and a mince pie included, while you listen to – and maybe join in with - carols and Christmas songs.
After his business partner, Marlow, died, Carolus’s accounting business went bust. He has started a new enterprise: an environmentally friendly Christmas decoration business: “Sallow’s Eco-Decos.” He works his daughter Tammy and assistant Ernest much too hard, and pays less than the minimum wage. After her divorce Tammy is due to be married to Michael, who will be step-father to her children. Marlow is haunting Carolus in order to persuade him to change his penny-pinching ways and be nicer to everyone, including his long-suffering wife Alice, and sisters Patience and Hollie. Three more ghosts are enlisted to help with this challenge, but what will it take for Carolus to be redeemed?
