Christmas Concert

A concert to celebrate the work of John Rutter and to start your Christmas festivities.   The first half features John Rutter's well known and beautifully melodic Requiem as well as his less well known, and vocally challenging work, Cantate Domino.  After an interval for drinks and mince pies, Dorchester Choral Society will sing a selection of carols as well as the popular O Magnum Mysterium  by Morten Lauridsen.  The concert will be conducted by the choir's Director of Music, Duncan Emerson, with support from a professional soloist and musicians: Georgie Malcolm (soprano), David Warwick (organ), Hannah Jennings (flute), Sarah Mudd (oboe), Sally Flann (cello), Heather Reed (keyboard harp), Rebecca Stell (timpani).
Tickets cost £20 for reserved seats in the nave or £15 for unreserved seats in the side aisles.  Booking fees are additional.  Booking via this site will open on 1st October and close 24 hours before the start of the concert but tickets may be purchased at the door, on the night, using cash or card. Doors open at 6.45pm.
There will be refreshments on sale during the interval, again by cash or card with free mince pies.
