THE SUBSTANCE (2024)
Telegraph Hill Centre - Narthex, Telegraph Hill, SE14 5TY
Friday 29th May 2026 7:30PM
Deptford Cinema’s Sci-Fi Sundays is soon to make its long awaited return…COVID might have tampered with our plans a while back but it couldn’t keep us down.
We are a little woozy from our time away however, as our upcoming screening is on FRIDAY 29th May! What are we screening? The Substance!
Destined to be a future cult classic, Caroline Fargeat’s lurid body horror is a wild and outrageous tale of celebrity, double standards, aging and…transformation.
A fading celebrity takes a black-market drug: a cell-replicating substance that helps her create a younger, better version of herself.
One of the most awarded horror films of all times, it revitalised Demi Moore’s career who turns in a remarkable performance that has to be seen to be believed!
