Presented at the historic and beautiful Minerva Masonic Hall, Dagger Lane, HULL.

This is Hull, in the year 1604.

Plague has swept through the city leaving death in its wake.

Having lost her husband Charles, Jennet Braithwaite finds herself accused of his murder via 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕.   Worse still, she is accused by her own mother-in-law.

Declaring herself innocent, Jennet is put on trial alongside her sister-in-law, Mary, and Mary's husband, John.
Doubts and fear fester, but when the case is brought to court, it is Jennet's own son, twelve-year-old James, who is the star witness.

Ambition, grief, anger and jealousy all play a part in this story of a family torn apart in a time of superstition and mistrust.
𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 are proud to present this brand new and haunting play, based on a true story.
