Scripted by Brean Hammond, author of the widely performed musical play Master Byrd the first half of this dramatic evening explores a remarkable English composer’s life and art in sounds, words and images. In the second half, Brean Hammond plays the part of RVW’s great friend and fellow composer Gerald Finzi.  On his deathbed, Finzi reveals information about RVW that provides an unfamiliar and surprising portrait of the great man.
