'The Patrick Pearse Motel' Footlights Theatre Company
After the roaring success of Brian Friel’s The Communication Cord, Footlights Theatre Group are back with another classic Irish farce guaranteed to have audiences laughing from curtain up. 😂🎭
The Patrick Pearse Motel by Hugh Leonard is a fast-paced farce packed with secret lovers, jealous spouses, and spectacular misunderstandings. When Gráinne plans a discreet night with an ex-flame turned TV celebrity, she ropes in her new friend Niamh as cover — but nothing goes to plan. Add a furious husband with a shillelagh, a jilted motel manageress, and a delightfully senile night watchman, and the result is rapid-fire Irish farce brimming with misunderstandings, close shaves, and gloriously escalating confusion.😏🎭
