The Hollow
Cotswold Playhouse, Stroud, GL5 1LW
Tuesday 26th January 2027 - Saturday 30th January 2027
Balancing humour with tragedy, The Hollow, adapted from her 1946 novel, is one of Agatha Christie’s most compelling plays.
What begins as a classic country-house mystery, unfolds into something deeper. A distinctive, glamorous group of characters arrive at The Hollow, a large house in the country for the weekend. Very soon tension starts to build, an unexpected guest arrives, relationships are revealed, culminating in a shocking death. Everyone has secrets and all are suspects.
The Hollow is a murder/mystery but Christie’s quick, witty and engaging dialogue also tells the story of a family desperately holding onto the past, secret passions, strained relationships and unrequited love.
