Cricket: History, Politics and Poetry

“What do they know of cricket who only cricket know?’ asked CLR James. Cricket historians, players and fans Richard Heller and Peter Oborne trace the origins and forces which have shaped the global game, for good or ill, in Full Circle: A History of Cricket. They discuss the most literary of games with Tim Beard, co-editor of Catching the Light: A New Anthology of Cricket Poetry, which raises CLR James’s famous question in its poems. Chaired by poet Rishi Dastidar.
