CWF26 walk 11 - In Search of Rolls

This walk explores explores the historic landscape surrounding The Hendre, the grand ancestral estate of Charles Rolls, co-founder of Rolls-Royce. The route goes through rolling countryside, quiet lanes, and rural fields toward St. Maughans. It passes the Victorian Gothic mansion of the estate, which now serves as the Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club and guides you to St. Cadoc’s Church, where Charles Rolls and other family members are buried. A lovely mix of Welsh history and beautiful Monmouthshire countryside.

This walk is not suitable for dogs.

6.5 miles moderate with a number of stiles. Allow 3-4 hours. Bring picnic, drinks and a camera.
