CHARLES DICKENS' A CHRISTMAS CAROL: A GHOST STORY

The Square Tower, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO1 2ND
Wednesday 16th December 2026 7:30PM

'Superb... spooky and darkly funny... puts a smile on your face'
The Times

It's Christmas Eve. As the cold, bleak night draws in, the penny-pinching Ebenezer Scrooge is confronted by the spirit of his former business partner, Jacob Marley.
Bound in chains as punishment for a lifetime of greed, the unearthly figure explains it isn't too late for Scrooge to change his miserly ways in order to escape the same fate. But first he'll have to face three more eerie encounters...
CCADS Theatre return to the atmospheric, intimate surroundings of the Square Tower, following last year’s sell-out production of It’s a Wonderful Life, with Mark Gatiss' spine-tingling and hugely acclaimed adaptation of A Christmas Carol, bring Dickens’ beloved festive ghost story – with an emphasis on the ghostly! - back to his home city in this unmissable theatrical treat.

Please note:  The Square Tower's performance area is on the flat but it is unfortunately not wheel chair friendly due to limited access to the toilets.
