The Candover Valley Cheriton Ride, is a lovely opportunity to ride around a famous part of Hampshire.
This is where the Battle of Cheriton took place on 29 March 1644, which was an important Parliamentarian victory during the First English Civil War.
For those more interested in the riding than the history, the ride starts on Bramdean Common and consists of two loops.
The first takes you across to Cheriton on tracks and private farm land.
The second loop takes you through some lovely woodlands, where there is plenty of shade to enjoy.
The total ride is about 8 miles, there is no jumping, however by then there should be some lovely stubble to enjoy, at whatever pace suits you, on the farms we are riding through.
PLEASE NOTE - you will need to bring your horses passport with you - we WILL be checking equine influenza vaccinations.
