Style Writing Walking Tour

97 Estoria, GA, 30316-1161
Saturday, September 19 2026 - Sunday, September 20 2026
Join our tour guides, Antar Fierce & Dr Curtis Jackson for a 45m tour of the Cabbagetown Arts Ecosystem. Guests will travel through the World Famous KROG TUNNEL to learn about its history and how it became the South's most notorious FREE WALL. After residents pushed for decriminalization in the early 2000's, the hundred year-old tunnel exploded with color and creativity, including radical free speech and a ferocious reputation for independence. Dr Jackson's (EPIC / GSU History) groundbreaking project, "Krog Codex", has carefully documented a decade of constant change, ephemeral art, and evolving messages.

Travelling east on the Atlanta BeltLine, we will see the artists of Forward Warrior painting large scale murals for the annual Forward Warrior festival, then cross Pearl Street into Reynoldstown where the concrete wall gives way to corrugated metal, and the incredibly style-writing of Steel Wheels. Graffiti Historian & Film Producer Antar K Fierce (Steel Wheels, "City of Kings") will lead the group a quarter mile past scores of wild & masterful pieces, explaining the culture and etiquette, and translating some unique symbols and motifs that will help visitors gain a greater understanding and appreciation for this pillar of hip hop and it's unique world view - an exhilarating anti-establishment exploration of ego & anonymity.

The tour ends at Breaker Breaker, a quirky Florida-themed bar & grill with cold drinks and fried snacks. Continue a half-block to Lang Carson Park to catch Reynoldstown's annual Wheelbarrow Festival - featuring food vendors, games, & live blues, with plenty of shade and family-friendly fun.
