Sleeping Beauty – An Original Modern Pantomime
Written and directed by Krissie Isaac | Broadway Amateur Theatrical Society (BATS)
Join BATS for a brand-new, original pantomime bursting with magic, mischief, music and modern humour!
When evil Fairy Hemlock is left off the royal guest list for Princess Beauty’s christening, her fury leads her to place a terrible curse on the young princess. With Beauty’s future hanging in the balance, can true love prevail, or is she doomed to sleep forever?
Expect a fabulously entertaining adventure, featuring more than one handsome prince, a larger-than-life pantomime dame, mischievous comic sidekicks, colourful royal characters, beautiful fairies, a ghostly encounter with plenty of fun, laughter and audience participation along the way.
Alongside the familiar magic of a classic fairy tale, this new and original script brings a fresh, modern twist to the story, packed with contemporary humour, original comedy, plenty of surprises, a lively mix of musical numbers and a generous sprinkling of fairy dust! (Look out for a special cart scene filled with local Somerset references, bringing a distinctly local flavour to the fun!)
Sleeping Beauty promises entertainment for all ages, with plenty of pantomime mischief and a whole lot of magic!
