Brave Words Storytelling Night @ Terminus - Fired Up and Burning Bright!
Terminus Tap Room and Bottle Shop (The Meanwood Brewery), Leeds, LS6 4HY
Wednesday 4th November 2026
Brave Words Storytelling Night is back, with another evening of authentic stories & connection to share your tales and listen to others.
We set a loose theme and create a relaxed, conversational space to share stories, empathy and laughter. By the end of the night you’ll feel like a group of friends in someone’s living room.
This month’s theme is: Fired Up and Burning Bright! We're looking for your stories about the things you feel passionate about. The topics and causes you could talk about for days. The people, places and events that excite you; the achievements that fill you with pride and the bright hopes you carry for the future. Or maybe you want to bring stories that are literally about fire. All are welcome - from personal memories to folk tales passed down through generations.
You don’t need to be a performer – although you might be! It’s a super-relaxed evening of sharing with no pressure to speak.
Tickets are Pay-What-You-Feel, suggested donation £5-£10. Card & cash payment available on the night. All donations go back to Brave Words' work running theatre activities across communities of Leeds: www.bravewords.co.uk.
7.30pm start. Finish 9.30 latest.
Some thoughts from previous attendees:
“It's one of those evenings where you lose track of time, like catching up with an old friend. You might not know anyone but it's safe to show up exactly as you are and share exactly what you want. I guess essentially, it's the magic of people and conversation. It's bloody lovely".
“It’s for people who hate small talk and want to get into meaningful conversations, learn from people from all walks of life and hear about their lived experiences. A safe place to be open and honest, judgement free. You don’t have to speak or stand up and talk in front of anyone if you don’t want, but there’s always opportunity for conversation around the room to feel part of something special.”
“A relaxed evening talking about moments that are funny, moving, and sharing experiences. We all felt uplifted by the time we were finished – you’re never alone in life, there's always someone with a story to tell!”
