Event Schedule:

6:00: Doors
6:30: Introduction & Chat
7:15: Mingle & Silent Auction

About the Exhibition

"I See Music" is a striking visual art exhibition created by synaesthetic artist Laura J Harris. Laura experiences chromesthesia, a form of synaesthesia where music involuntarily triggers vivid experiences of colour, shape, texture, and movement.
Each artwork in the exhibition is a direct visual response to a specific piece of music — not an interpretation or abstraction, but a literal translation of how sound is perceived through Laura’s neurological experience. The result is a collection of bold, layered works that invite audiences to see music as it is heard.

Visitors are encouraged to slow down, engage with the pieces, and consider how differently we all experience sound, art, and the world around us.

Silent Auction

During the exhibition, audiences will have the opportunity to purchase selected artworks through a silent auction, with all proceeds supporting The Boaty Theatre Company. By taking a piece of "I See Music" home, you are directly investing in youth-led theatre, creative access, and community storytelling.

Comissions

The Artist is open to accepting commissions.
