Come and Sing Workshop: Verdi's Requiem
Victoria Hall, Shipley, BD18 3JS
Saturday 20th February 2027 10:30AM
Spend a day immersed in one of the great choral masterpieces.
Join BFCS for an exploration of Verdi’s Requiem — dramatic, moving and exhilarating to sing; and what a treat to be having this day in the venue where the final performance in Alan Bennett's screenplay 'The Choral' was filmed! We are delighted to welcome Eamonn Dougan of The Sixteen as special guest, working alongside BFCS Musical Director Thomas Leech to explore the music, develop the choral sound and bring the day to a close with an informal performance.
A rewarding day for singers with some choral experience — whether you already know the work or are discovering it for the first time.
Do book your friends and family in for our informal performance at 6pm - we will sing better with an audience! We do have a limit on audience tickets though so please reserve these early.
There is no dress code.
