Who Programmed This? Tech, Tinker, Play!
Hosted by the BSU Centre for Creative Technology
A day of making, tinkering, experimenting and playing with technology.
Saturday 17 October, 10am–4pm |
Bath Spa University, Locksbrook Campus Free
All ages and abilities welcome - Drop in any time
Technology can sometimes feel like something that happens to us — designed somewhere else, by someone else, and hidden behind a black box. Who Programmed This? is an invitation to open that box and have a go.
Who is it for? Creative coders, makers, media artists, students, families - anyone with a curiosity about how we can use technology in creative ways.
No coding experience, technical knowledge or special equipment is needed.
Across the day, you'll find drop-in activities, hands-on workshops, installations, demonstrations and talks. Exploring everything from code and circuits to creative technology, digital art, physical making and messy things that don’t fit into any categories. There will be activities for complete beginners alongside things to intrigue experienced makers, artists, educators and technologists.
The event is part of Processing Community Day 2026, a worldwide celebration of art, code and creative technology.
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

The event space is level and step-free.
Bring a laptop if you have one, but we will have some if you don’t.
Come for ten minutes or stay all day. Who programmed this?
