Storytelling with Paint with Lorna Mckay

Step into the world of your favourite book and explore visual storytelling through paint in this artist-led workshop. Using colour, shape and texture, you’ll create a painted response inspired by a story you love.

Working on a small A4/A5 canvas, you might redesign a cover, combine text and imagery, or make an abstract piece capturing a book’s mood or characters. The focus is on visual storytelling rather than perfect illustration.

Using acrylic paints, we’ll experiment with limited palettes, expressive marks and bold shapes through quick exercises and guided painting time.

This is a 2 hour workshop and is suitable for all levels of experience.
Please bring an apron/old shirt to protect your clothes.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
I am delighted to offer this workshop at Balfron Book Festival and can’t wait to see our literary inspired paintings.

£30 PER PARTICIPANT. PLEASE BOOK DIRECTLY ON LORNA'S WEBSITE.
