Meet the Author: William Douglas

When William moved to Balfron 36 years ago he found a community which felt like home.  He found he had an instinct to get involved and find out about village life which led him to starting the Balfron village website and later, Facebook page.  These opened a door into the history, culture and stories that Balfron was steeped in with William often posting heritage pieces on the website, which generated lots of feedback from the community.  William loved this interaction and would eventually inspire him to publish his 100 days of Balfron as a graphic representation of the village.

Join William as he chats about his book. All ticket holders are also welcome to stay on at the bar for the evening after the event for a drink and a chat.
