Victoria Lucas: Artist Talk
Saturday 3rd October | 11:30am | Fort Dunree F93 C424
Join Sheffield-based artist Victoria Lucas at Fort Dunree for a talk marking the close of her three-week residency with The Derek Hill Foundation, in partnership with Glebe Gallery, Glenveagh National Park and Regional Cultural Centre
Victoria will share her wider practice and introduce Becoming-with Glenveagh, a new body of research and experimental work developed through walks, 3D scanning and archival research in response to the Donegal landscape.
Exploring landscape, ecology, place and connection, Victoria will reflect on Donegal’s distinctive landscape, and what it means to become connected and entangled with a place rather than simply depicting it.
Victoria Lucas is a site-responsive artist, curator and researcher based in Sheffield. Her work spans sculpture, photography, moving image and installation, and has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
