National Emergency Briefing on the Climate and Nature Crisis
Grania Dean Studio at Lantern Theatre, Brighton, BN21PA
Sunday 22nd November 2026 7:00PM
It's time for government to give a live emergency briefing on the climate and nature crisis, introduced by the PM and delivered by independent experts, as an essential step to unlock the wartime-scale response now required.
This new film, presented by Chris Packham, is screening in communities and workplaces across the UK to raise awareness and build public support for that government-led briefing.
How this started…
Last November, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media. The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy.
What's happening now…
Communities and organisations are using a free-to-screen 50-minute film, based on the Westminster event, to brief the UK public about the climate and nature crisis. Screenings in village halls, cinemas, faith spaces and workplaces are bringing constituents, civic leaders and MPs together to hear the evidence - and consider what an emergency response should look like.
