It Was Just an Accident - Ware's the Film Festival

This October, we’re delighted to bring back Ware’s the Film Festival! The week long event will include a showcase of popular films in different venues across the town. Sit back, relax and enjoy a film in a venue a little different to the norm. To allow as many people as possible to join in, tickets are offered for FREE on a first come first served basis.

Jafar Panahi’s gripping and darkly humorous thriller follows Vahid, an Iranian mechanic who believes he has accidentally encountered the man who tortured him during his imprisonment. As he and a group of fellow former prisoners try to establish the man’s identity, the film becomes a tense exploration of revenge, justice, forgiveness and the lasting effects of political persecution. Winner of the 2025 Palme d’Or at Cannes, the film has attracted widespread critical acclaim and has since received major awards-season recognition, including two Oscar nominations for Best International Feature Film and Best Original Screenplay.

Bar will be open!
