Bird - Ware's the Film Festival

This October, we’re delighted to bring back Ware’s the Film Festival! The week long event will include a showcase of popular films in different venues across the town. Sit back, relax and enjoy a film in a venue a little different to the norm. To allow as many people as possible to join in, tickets are offered for FREE on a first come first served basis.

Twelve-year-old Bailey is growing up in a chaotic world on the margins of society, living with her father and brother in North Kent. Searching for connection, freedom and a sense of adventure, her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters Bird, a mysterious stranger who seems to exist somewhere between reality and imagination. Andrea Arnold’s tender, distinctive film blends social realism with magical fable in a moving story of childhood, family and the search for somewhere to belong.
