...petits concerts XXIII - James Lisney ...poèmes, mélodies, danses

Two performances of the same programme.

• The performance on 5 November is in aid of The Irene Taylor Trust, a charity that uses collaborative music creation to rehabilitate and empower marginalised individuals.
• The performance on 6 November is in aid of The Amber Trust, a charity providing musical opportunities for blind and partially sighted children, including children with more complex needs.

James Lisney’s …petits concerts take their title from the annual series of recitals given by Charles Alkan at the Erard Showroom in Paris during the 1870s.

James Lisney returns to 1901 Arts Club with a garland of romantic piano music inspired by poetry, song, and the spirit of dance.  Pieces by Liszt, Schubert, Chopin and Rachmaninoff.
